Re: To Zule and Deena
Dot, I don't want to seem like I'm pointing a cannon at anyone and much less you, and I can't speak for Zule, but by the context of her post is why I say that what *we* responded to was the following:
"That response{advertisment}was just plain weird. You really think God meant for us to go around shocking ourselves and being obssessed with looking in the toliet all the time!"
This is self-righteous and judgemental. It is time that the body of Christ stopped acting this way because it certainly does not reflect a Christ-like attitude. Is there any LOVE in it? Does it minister LIFE to anyone? What is the FRUIT of this? What the Lord wants from us isn't that we pass a performance test everytime. Once again I'll make a comparison between traditional and alternative medicine. When we go to traditional doctors, we are pretty much placing ourselves in his/her hands and trusting on their expertise. It is a rather passive affair. If they say be here Monday morning for your surgery and eat or drink nothing, we just do as we are told and hope for the best. But it requires very little input from from us. On the other hand, when we decide to take life and health into our hands, we become solely responsible for our health and the outcome. It is an experiment, not knowing if or how something will work. The affair goes from being passive to one of much greater burden and thinking on our parts. If things don't come out right there is no one else to blame. So we have to become much more involved in the process and when we find something like CUreZOne it is a blessing because it provides some sort of a road map and oftentimes much comfort.
So how is this offensive to God? Can anyone know the HEART of a person other than God? And in the hearts of many very religious people, do you suppose He sees His love and tenderness reflected? So much of traditional Christianity has made God into a Hard and Angry enetity, sort of like a Zeus, that it has turned millions of people off to what should give them the greatest peace of mind and spiritual freedom in the universe. God IS love, and He isn't waiting around for someone to do something wrong to send a lightning bolt their way. He corrects by a gentle nudge in the spirit and is always focused on healing and restoring.
My point is not to harass Bella or anyone else either. Simply that idolatry is running after other gods. And perhaps many people do run after other gods because their followers exhibit a level of caring and non-judgementalism rarely seen in many Christians. This is TRAGIC! No, He doesn't share His glory, but taking care of the matters of this world and especially the body, is not the thing to offend God. This I say provided the person has chosen to place Him at the center of their being. If they haven't, then this is not for them anyway.
~God bless you all in His fullness<
