Update On Dr. Atkins Death (And Question)

The Doctor known for his popular high fat low carb diet has died.

Best selling diet doctor, Robert Atkins passed away as the result of a head injury he suffered when he slipped and fell on a snowy sidewalk in New York City.

The "Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution" book encourages meat, eggs and cheese, and advises readers to avoid bread, rice and fruit.

It has long been a source of controversy among nutritional experts who favor a low-fat, high-carb approach.

Atkins was 72.
