My iron level was "16" when blood ferritin levels were tested. As well I am easily tired, and the inside of my eye lids are pale, increased heart rate, etc. I was told I was iron deficient....(by a medical doctor-gee I don't like them, but what else do you do?) Physically everything else is fine.
Apperently this is common in pre-menopausal women, or women between the ages of 12 & 50.
I don't eat a lot of red meat, but eat a lot of greens, veggies, fruit etc
I just don't understand how I got deficient, and want to know what I can do to increase my iron stores and not get deficient again.
