Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate them. I can tell you where I get my herbs. My number one main source for organic and wild crafted herbs is Pacific Botanicals, 4350 Fish Hatchery Road, Grants Pass, Oregon. Their phone number is 541-479-7777. And since I don’t know where you live, I don’t know if they can ship to you, but hope so. I keep forgetting that this is a world forum, and there are more places in the world than just my little part of it. From Pacific Botanicals I get Cape Aloe Leaf, Barberry Root Bark, Ginger Root, Garlic, Cayenne-Habanero, and Cascara Sagrada Bark.
My other source of organic and wild crafted herbs is Blessed Herbs, 109 Barre Plains Road, Oakham, Massachusetts. Their phone number is 800-489-4372. And from them, I get Curacao, Senna Leaves, and Senna Pods, which are not available from Pacific Botanicals. Both of these companies have catalogs that they will be happy to send to you.
I order these herbs in powdered form as available. Since not all of them are available in powdered form, I powder the ones that are not powdered myself. I use a Vita Mix to grind them, and then I put them through a fine screen. The herbs that are left in the screen that are still too big, I put back in the Vita Mix and grind some more. You can probably do this with a blender, it just might take longer. Eventually, I get it all ground down to an encapsulatable size. After I have mixed up everything and I am ready to put the powder into the capsules, I put everything on the kitchen table, next to a window. And I put a box fan in the window and seal all of the openings around the fan. I open another window on the other side of the room. This creates an effective exhaust fan to pull the dust from the powder, out of the room. This dust is very strong, and if you breath it, you’ll start sneezing, and sneezing, and sneezing. Well, you get the idea. And I also cover my nose and mouth with a wet towel. It helps to filter out some of the dust. Then I work like crazy to fill the capsules as fast as I can.
And one other thing. Please don’t taste the mixture of these powders. I did, and Yetch!!! It tasted so bad I brushed my teeth.....forever. It was a horrid taste. Someone with more experience and sophistication will probably laugh at my way of doing this. But not having anyone to talk with, I’ve had to come up with all of this on my own. And there probably is a better way to accomplish all of this. I just don’t know what it is.
I hope this is helpful. If you have any more questions, or suggestions, please let me know.
