Alcohol is used for making Tinctures for 3 reasons:
1. It dissolves ALL of the Constituents in the Herb.
NOTE: There are ONLY a FEW Herbs, like Lobelia, where you would use 50% Alcohol & 50% Organic RAW Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar (i.e.-Bragg's) to make a Tincture.
2. It INCREASES the Shelf Life of the Herb Constituents to 10+ years!
3. It makes the Mucous Membranes in the Mouth MORE Permeable, so that the Herbal Constituents can go into the Bloodstream QUICKLY, because they BYPASS the Digestive Process!
