HELP!! Our dog has uterus infecton

Our 8-year old female German Shepherd has developed pyometria i.e. uterus infection for the second
time following her period (heat). She is now taking her second treatment of Novolexin antiobiotics but
does not seem to be improving. We have seconded the treatment with a daily dose of garlic and cayenne
pepper in a preparation of rice which seems to help, and we are now at the stage of taking the decision to put her to sleep or
have her operated which would put us into a bind financially at this time.

Question: Is there any suppository that can be introduced in the vagina to help clear the infection?

Question: would an enema made of cayenne pepper and garlic be appropriate to help purge the infection?

If the operation (hysterectomy) is the only answer at this time, we are told there is a 50-50 chance
of success.

Does anyone know of a treatment capable of clearing this problem for good without an operation?

Please reply at the earliest as time is of the essence...
