Ah, yes. Get two saltine crackers and two bowls. Put water in one bowl, mineral oil in the other then place a cracker in each. You will find after about 10 minutes the cracker is falling apart in the water, whereas the mineral oil cracker is hardened and clinking against the bowl. In the same way mineral oil hardens your skin and does not allow it to breathe or absorb any moisture. For the moment your skin seems softer but the next day you need more lotion, it is because it creates a vicious cycle so you will keep using the lotion. Mineral oil is toxic, avoid anything with petroleum products. Did you ever notice it is the main ingredient in chapstick as well? Same thing occuring. Buy a natural beeswax or coconut oil chapstick and get enough water and good oils in your body and you really shouldn't even need the beeswax then. :) Caitlin Lorraine
