Your vitamin C and potassium levels might be low, both are destroyed by modern processing so they are difficult to get in proper amounts.

Vitamin C builds collagen and elastin in the skin.

Potassium maintains fluid levels inside cells.

Potassium and sodium work together in the body to maintain muscle tone, blood pressure, water balance, and other functions. You should consume potassium and sodium in the ratio of 4 to 1 (four times as much potassium than salt). Not easy when modern processing destroys potassium and adds tons of salt. Excessive consumption of sodium depletes the body’s stores of potassium. Alcohol, caffeine, and Sugar deplete potassium levels in the body.
