Re: Is "Lapin" Kosher?

Hi Gabza,

According to the following, the rabbit, hare, lapin would not be capable of being kosher, because they are not clean. I never did eat rabbit in my "pre-kosher" days, but I sure did eat a lot of other "unclean" foods - oink, oink, ribbit, from which I am currently trying to deparasitize.

Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 11:5-6 states..."...and the rabbit, because it chews the cud but does not have a split hoof, it is unclean to you; and the hare, because it chews the cud but does not have a split hoof, it is unclean to you;..."
