"Megacolon, Toxic
Synonyms and related keywords: toxic megacolon, dilated toxic colitis, fulminant dilated colitis, colonic dilatation, colitides, Hirschsprung disease, idiopathic megacolon, CHRONIC CONSTIPATION, intestinal pseudoobstruction, intestinal pseudo-obstruction, Ogilvie syndrome"
(See link below for source)

Although toxic megacolon is most often associated with colitis, it can also be caused by a number of pathogenic organsisms...some of which can result in chronic constipation instead of diarrhea. It can also result from severe chronic constipation of an unknown origin.

There are actually 3 forms of megacolon...toxic, acute, and chronic. Although not all cases of toxic megacolon include fecal impaction and toxicity (as allopathic medicine defines it), megacolon resulting from severe chronic constipation can indeed lead to toxicity and therefore meets the diagnostic criteria for toxic megacolon...dilation of the colon with toxicity.

As I stated in my previous post, I have worked with individuals with megacolon resulting from severe chronic constipation...and they were indeed toxic (as would be defined by allopathic medicine or the more general definition of toxicity). Anyone who has been constipated for 7 weeks would most definitely be toxic by anyone's definition...and they would be severely impacted with fecal material!

Careful, Mai Li...now you are entering into my area of REAL expertise!!!
