I might add a similar experience.
I was cutting thru a lambs liver. ( a guest just brought it from the farm, and likes liver and onions ) eeek!
And anyways I was looking at it. And I found the same thing. The tiny ducts amazed me, and they seemed not to be able to have any stones or fit any stones. I sliced thru the entire thing ( eeek!, for the sake of our guests ) And what I conclude is: the lamb was young, over 6 months, under a year- maybe the liver of that young age wont have the capacity because stones dont occur at that age, just as other functions in development- ?
