In Islam, I am told by certain 9-11 Conspiracy buffs that suicide is the fast route to the Islamic version of hell.

Can anyone of the Islamic faith comment?

As a follow up question: If suicide condemns he who commits it, is there any known sect where suicide under jihad is somehow acceptable? If so, which sect(s) is(/are) this?

I mean, which rule is higher in the hierarchy: jihad or no-suicide?
