Unless you change you will find that you are in the burning pit when you die. You are simply voicing the thoughts that the devel has put in your mind. He is the perfect example of the old adage, "misery loves company". He will deceive as many as will let him because he wants lots of company in the fire.

But the primary reason for his deceiving people is his hatred for god. He can't do snything to God directly but when he can convice a person not to accept Jesus as savior it hurts God. When he deceives a christian to the point that they cannot be blessed by God it hurts God.
