I hereby declare....
Just kidding, seriously, this forum has really been great and I hope it does not get deleted.
Im not offended at all by the testimonies-( thanks Klyd-and you are female aren't you! your jokes do reflect it) and R2R had it out with me in the beginning in a rather "in your face" kind of way, but I think we all need to step back and realize each of us thinks we are right and that we cannot change others beliefs systems in one or two clicks of a mouse.
However, I think sharing ideas is fruitful and I hope others dont get offended.
But the underlining truth is one who reads something and gets offended by what he sees as an attack on their God and belief system they can't help but feel attacked personally.
So maybe we need just patience and whoever wants to seriously debate, bring the proof (scripture and authors and refernces etc) and be kind.
“Say: (O Muhammad) ‘This is my Way; I do invite unto Allah with a certain knowledge. And whoever follows me (must also invite others to the Oneness of Allah with sure knowledge). Glory to Allah! And I am not of the polytheists.’” (Qur'an 12: 108)
“And he who brings the Truth and he who confirms (and supports) it — such are the men who do right. They shall have all that they wish for, with their Rabb (Only Cherisher and Sustainer). Such is the reward of those who do good: so that Allah will remit from them (even) the worst in their deeds and give them their reward according to the best of what they have done.” (Qur'an 39:33-35)
Abu Hurairah (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said “He who called people to righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhered to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who called (people) to error, he shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.” (Muslim 4/6470)
