Re: Can you explain this to me please?

Jesus said to them He never knew them. This part stands out to me. They claimed to have done these things for God, but never even knew God--the Father or the Son. This is just my personal perspective, something that stands out when I read it, and is probably because of the personal experiences of things I have seen. My heart aches and prays for those that claim they are prophesing in the Holy Spirit, in the name of God, but are prophesing harsh, cruel messages that are destroying the sheep. Only Satan destroys, as Jesus says the devil came to steal, kill, and destroy. These "prophets" equate God's personality with having a very mean streak. If they really knew God, they would know that even His correction and judgement is just and will not destroy, but bring a person up to where they should be. Because they do not have a personal relationship they do not know Him, and that is so sad. :( They do not have the spiritual discernment to tell when they are being used by another spirit, a problem that a close relationship with God would remedy. I do not know if what this verse is meaning, everyone has had such good input, but I do know that having a personal relationship with the Lord is very important--something God wants with you just as much as you want with Him. Hunger and thirst after Him and you will be filled! I just wanted to tell you what stood out for me, blessings Zule, Caitlin Lorraine
