Re: Strange taste and ill health after root canal treatment
Hi dothillbenny:
I am not really sure what advice to give you but please read below my brief story. It may reaffirm your convictions about the dangers of root canals. About another week or two I am going to have the tooth extracted. We are not alone in our miseries and am glad I just stumbled onto this great site! Please read on ...
To make my long story short, I had a
root canal done about 10-15 years ago upper right back tooth. Off and on I heard people say and read articles that
root canals can be bad for you because of mercury - etc., etc.
I never had sinus problems ever. The past couple years I have been having ongoing nasal congestion due to inflamed nasal turbinates. This cycle leads to infection to my sinuses because I wind up not being able to breathe normal thru my nose forcing me to mouth breathe. When I get up in the morning there is a taste like the combination of mold, yeast and metallic taste. Any nasal discharge (if I can expell it) is abnormally thick. I am betting on that the problem is the filling of the
root canal is either leaking and/or infected, spreading bacteria. What do you think? Appreciate your time. I am thinking about geting it extracted soon. Thankyou.
