Hi,

I would be fuming mad also if I were you! Did they even give you an ultrasound or anything to look at the gallbladder? What made the Dr assume that's what your pain was from? I had pain and nausea for 2 yrs before my surgery until I had an ultrasound and found out I had stones in my gallbladder. Sounds like your Dr didn't do any testing at all. Not too sure what kind of recourse you'll have b/c I'm assuming you did consent to having the surgery, but I would definetely make a complaint against the Dr if he/she didn't perform any tests on you or anything. I know that gallbladder surgery is quite common these days, but I would hate to think that Dr's are performing surgeries just for the heck of it... That's a pretty disturbing thought!
