Just found this article which gives reason for the acid/alkaline theory to be seen as nonsense, because he claims it is not possible for any food you consume to alter the acidity of your blood stream.
I've read through it and it seems as though this M.D has mis-understood what the P.H balancing theory is about.
From the little i've read, my understanding is that if you don't provide your body with enough alkalising minerals via oral ingestion, your body is forced to take alkalizing minerals from it stores to neutralise any excess acid in the blood stream. This then results in your body becoming minerally deficient, leading to disease.
Is my understanding correct? I'm pretty new to the acid alkaline discussion board!
