My problem is along this line, so I thought I'd continue on this thread. I have recently been getting stains on my teeth. I had them cleaned in May and already I've noticed brown stains beginning to appear. The thing is, I don't drink coffee, tea, wine all of which are known to stain teeth. I eat lots of beets and vegetables, and wondered if it's the beets or if my enamal is thinner and thats what's causing the stains. Anyone have any ideas?
Billy: Now to plaque. As a raw foodist, I noticed that when I floss, I have hardly any of the soft white gunk (soft plaque, deet?). Most of the time I just get a small piece of food with no gunk at all. When I eat something cooked, I have lots of gunk. I understand that if we don't remove that soft plaque it hardens which becomes plaque on our teeth. This is what I understood the dentist to tell me years ago. I hope my experience helps. Best of luck and good health.
