Hi, I have tried wearing face mask. They do actually work quite well depending on how thick the mask is. The condensation from your breath keeps your lips really moist. The problem is that I only wanted to wear it at night where no one could see, because I live with my family and they would prolly think I was crazy for wearing it in the day. Also, wearing a face mask for long periods of time can get very uncomfortable. Its alot harder to breathe. On the couple of nights I tried wearing it, I just ended up taking it of my face while I was asleep :/

I believe for the lips to heal there has to be no chance of them drying out and getting damaged.
