Re: Found out that my new filling was Amalgam!
Your dentist gave you a load of crap; he's probably comparing an ancient technique of making
Amalgams (cheesecloth or whatever the hell hes talking about) so that the "new and improved"
Amalgam method looks like a great option to have in your mouth - its NOT! In order to make a metal
Amalgam you need liquid metal at low temperatures (aka mercury) to blend metals like silver into the
Amalgam and create a rigid structure at room temperature - I'm not familiar with the actual materials they start up in the amalgam but whether its ligquid mercury or a mercury compound, its still mercury!
Conventional dentist claim that the mercury stays bound in the amalgam in the rigid structure but there are plenty of hard data that disproves that. Your mouth will be like a baterry with different metals in there and they wil corrode and leak out (also with mechanical cheing will release vapors).
Its sad that your dentist just assumes he can throw some %¤#&!§-at you and youre expected to swallow it.
Your old amagalm and new one both have mercury so they both pose danger to your health. Yes it is a visually durable structure but it corrodes (it turns black).
