Re: drowning in ghastly food issues...need a friend.
I know how you feel. I have a lot of the same issues, only my weight is more out of control than yours. You said that maybe you should see a therapist, and I think that's a good idea. I've been in therapy for 3 years and have become such a different and better person because of it. Also, do you have a yeast overgrowth? That could be your problem, and maybe if you work on ridding yourself of the yeast, you can eventually get back to a good level of bacteria, etc and will be able to indulge occasionally without paying so dearly. It's hard not to have the extremist, all or nothing attitude. I've found a lot of women suffer from that mentality. It doesn't seem to get to men as much, maybe because they don't worry so much about their looks or health (to grossly generalize). The only thing I can say is, from my own experience, don't beat yourself up over it, but you also need to remember that just because you messed up at breakfast doesn't mean lunch and dinner have to go down the toilet too. Do you exercise? That might help a lot. Also, fresh air is great for yeast problems. It might be therapeutic to take morning walks & get yourself in a peaceful frame of mind with which to face the day. Just a few thoughts. Good luck to you. I'm in a similar boat, so I hope I can take my own advice as well!
