I don't know if pollen is tested for pesticides, but there was an article posted recently that pesticides are concentrated in the pollen. Something else to think about.

As far as treating bees kindly, the saying "a person who is nice to you but not nice to the waiter, is not a nice person" can be applied to animals as well.
