I have no college education, but that doesn't mean I'm stupid. I've seen people with a Ph.D. that don't know how to do anything outside of that one subject.

You're a grown man. You can do those things if you want, but what kind of friend would I be if I didn't tell you why I wouldn't do it.

I'm not the kind of guy to let a friend walk around with a bugger on his face.

I asked one question, and was told, in not so many words, that it's over my head.

I think that elevated language is pretentious. Getting people to look up to you and then telling them to give a nursing baby these unnatural remedies is almost criminal.
