Re: fenbendazole is working
safety is one issue
but what about efficacy?
any parasitic disease has a cycle that has to be interuupted, and many of them quite conplex which why usually mom dies and the thousand larvae are immune to treatment
just saying ... please becareful, as you could easily go from treating a benign disease to creating a hyperinfection, which WILL occir if you have stronyloids and you could die.
See, so mostly when we talk about safety of drugs, side effects are infection related. Meaning the uninfected control group typically feels no side effect while the test group will experience die off and/or reinfection.
I dont think i would use that for less that 3 days and the proper wt doage... which i believe is 50 mg. If you're interested, the half life is 16h with peak conc at 4h. Its also very broad sprectrum (good drug actually) killing rounds, hooks, taenia, and some flukes.... but watch out fo those larvae because the can be MORE dangerous.
anyway .... my 2 cents
