Re: Concerns w/ composites and Xenoestrogens?
Hi
I knolw lots of data on the internet seems to deliver problems gallore with both the biocompatability and high level oestrogen simulation effects of composites.
Some say the oral cavity does not like a petrochemical plastic environment, and avoid composites. But what other alternatives are there?
If it's not one problem it's a bloody nother with modern dentistry.
I am in the process of replacing my
Amalgams with composites and have two at the moment. I think the hype about composites is silly, I feel great!, they feel like a natural tooth (ie glassy and healthy, not like horrid metallic mercury!!!)
I just have ordinary dental composite and never worried about bio compatability blood testing. They feel pretty well compatible with me, well a darn sight better than mercury!
But I suppose everyone has there own opinion and perhaps not all will have the positive effects that I have with my composites?
But really I can't seem to find a problem with them, I can't see how they would seep if done properly (they are mainly glass which is one of the purest materials around!).
