Brain cancer/GBM. Is there anything out there for us??

My husband Joe was diagnosed with Glioblastoma multiforme on November 9, 2004. He had a craniotomy to remove 2 tumors. one was completely removed, the other was considered a total gross resection, but where unable to remove completely. He underwent radiation w/ conjunctive temador therapy. His first MRI following first phase of (treatment protocol!) showed some tumor shrinkage. Good?? Well yes, But I honestly believe there is more that can be done!! When I asked about alternative therapies, i.e.; Herbals and supplements, along with a more holistic/ naturopathic diet. Your Know what they said??? "Oh let him eat whatever he enjoys. If he wants potato chips, KFC. he can have it. as long as he includes some fruits and vegetables in his diet, that will be fine" This is the pre-eminent Sloan Kettering!! You could practically hear her say, "Well he is going to die anyway, so he might as well enjoy his food!"
I know there is something out there for him; it just seems that all the alternative cancer cures are meant for everything BUT brain cancer! It's that damned Blood-Brain barrier that seems to be keeping help just out of our reach. Does anyone know of ANYTHING useful for brain cancer. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Much love & prayers to all
Lea
