The spasms are probably strong contractions caused by the herbs in IF#1 that irritate the bowel and cause it to contract in a way that mimics natural peristalsis. The most logical answer would be to reduce your dosage or stop taking the product for a while and see if the spasms stop. This may make me very unpopular, but I am not comfortable with the long term use of stimulant herbs. The body can come to depend on them and lose its natural peristalic motions. In their own way stimulant herbs can be just as bad a long term use a chemical laxatives. Fiber and/or magnesium are much better for bowel cleansing; and even then are not meant for long term use.
