Re: Candida is more of a secondary infection

HHHmmm , well I understand the secondary theory.

I must ask how it was that I had candida in 1992 and cured it with diet alone in about 1 year. Took no supplements and knew nothing abut being alkaline and I did not really do much to have an alkaline diet, now that I know what alkaline is. Yet, I was cured and had no symptoms for 8 years Until more Antibiotics , stress, smoking alcolhol and the list goes on, entered in the picture.Possible I was teetering on the edge and all it needed was one more thing in its favor to allow it Go Nuts!

Now I am sure that Antibiotics and everything I mentioned caused me to become acid. So it is true something creates the optimum environment for candida. But something introduces it to the body. Something tipped the scale in its favor for me and it was definately the antibiotcs.

I believe as was mentioned that people who do not get well are not addressing something. The symptoms we experience are our body crying for help. It is actually telling us where it needs help, we must play detective and figure it out. No easy task and that unfortunately is where we are all. And it not obvious either.

Most in this board struggle with trying to figure out what our body is asking us for. In my case all signs pointed to minerals. It took me 6-7 months to figure this out. But when you consider it ,there may only be so many thing your body needs. Better food, better water, minerals,I can't really think of anyhting else.

I believe if we give the body everything it needs it can do its job and we will get healthy. It is happening for me. I went thru this long, drawn out period of researching and it lead me right back to minerals. All my symptoms pointed straight to it. But who would know that hydration problems, burning in my head and face, cold sensations, anxiety and Depression were all caused by the same thing.

My point is, cover all the bases and you are bound to hit the correct thing your body needed. Even Drs. don't know what is wrong with us. And seriously that is what they do. They simply try to cover all the bases. Of course they might do this with meds...not a good solution since we need to rebuild and not slap a band aid on it. But in any event, drs. try to tackle everything. That is why when we go to Dr. they test a bunch of things, blood sugar, thyroid, metabolic etc. They do not simply try one thing and then say that wasn't lets try something else.

Pure water, good pure food and minerals. I am getting more die off from these things than anything else.

I have been adding a huge salads with red lettuce, shredded carrot (only a little) shredded radish, flaxseeds, and a ton of cucumber ( most alkaline veggie out there) with the skin. I ate the first night and could not get out of bed the next morning because of all the die off. Drink plenty of water and take minerals.

We may have gotten candida because we had a weakness , but candida does everything in its power to exacerbate whatever weakness we have. It will do everything it can to survive. It is in the nature of every single living cell to survive. We must fight on its level.

Not only starve it , but feed ourselves. Build ourselves up.

The previous two posters are correct, we NEED our immune systems. Nothing is more efficient than our immune system. Give it the gas it needs to run in high gear.

Other tactics are secondary in importance. But still needed, such as antifungals.
