I read your story and it touched my heart. My brain says this operation is terrible with bad results in ten years or less. My heart says what if the lady didn't have the operation would she live two years? five? ten? What kind of live is it if you drag around a 400 lb prison? No social life, lonely, unable to care for your self. To hell with the brain and reason. Go for it. I am happy you have the sucess you have had. Enjoy each and every day that you have .
