Money Commandments - "every 7 years..."
Its not one of the big 10 commandments, but it was a mjaor part of Jesus' preachings, and the one area where Jesus dipped into secular life.
Was it Jesus who said this, or someone before him maybe, but they thought it important enough, spiritually dangerous enough, that they "commanded" that every 7 years, all a persons wealth would be reduced to nill and he starts over again.
This not only helped re-distribute concentrations of wealth [and all wealth is a creation of "a whole society", so we all would be entitled to have a more or less equal share of it], but it kept anyone from getting too powerfull. Imbalances of power, and wealth of course, will allways create tensions and social conflicts, as well as providing the template for abuses and so on.
This reminds me of my favorite historical society , the Athenians:
"Ostracism" was a Greek method of ensuring that politicians didn't get too powerfull - they would be shut out of Athens, and therefore would lose their authoriy and influence, and ability to gain further power.

Anyhow, I would love to see us implement this sytem of divuldging all our wealth every 7 years, so nobody could get so powerfull as to create fake wars, pollute for profit, or hijack the medical care system to be a meat grinder.
