The snake won't work sine you get get beyond the 'cross'. Boiling water may help desolve soap scum but not the hair.

Try using a coat hanger, with a small hook at the end.. And yes, most tubs do take an almost immedicate 90 degree turn.. try it anyway.. you would be surprised how successful you will be. Good luck Tweet
