yes to his post!! i have done that all my life esp the ironing
if you have silk or velvet, or fine linen stuff esp the turn inside out will keep the silk more naturally glossy on outside and lessen risk of iron burn /heat marks etc.. sticking
if you iron really delicate stuff..,
consider a slightly dampened clothe / thin, like an old clean bed sheet square,
and lay it between the iron and article of clothing
press straight down to a 10 count about and remove iron
(no movement of iron.. just straigt down , press. and lift)
this is good for really delicate stuff.
also if washing delicate stuff/ in a machine,
throw it in a pillowcase..
esp stuff like a kids furry toy.. will clean it without all that lint going everywhere
and the fur (after drying in machine will not be all matted, but fluffy and clean.
