First Cleanse Woes
Missp - Yes, this is my first cleanse. I have been reading up on the cleanse for over two weeks and after finishing the manual I finally decided to give it a go. I really think that I can do this. Although, the Onion bagel that my boyfriend just made is causing some major cravings. My poor boyfriend is only eating little things because he feels badly that I won't be eating too. It is very sweet but I dont want him to get sick so I keep telling him to not feel so badly!
The Yogi "Get Regular" tea that I have been drinking (2 cups a day) has been, well, keeping things regular enough that I've already had 5 BMs today alone. I'm guessing that once yesterday's food passes I'll slow down a bit, so maybe I'll heed Zoe's advice and try the
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) afterall for a more thorough cleanse of the older junk in my body. I bought the salt... I just can't imagine drinking a glass of that stuff! I'm sure you felt the same way your first time too.
The only thing that still bugs me is the wicked headaches. I broke down and took some advil after I almost had to pull my car over driving home from work because of searing pain. When I finally got home I drank some water and then took a nap. The nap helped. I'm thinking of going to bed much earlier than I did last night.
If not for the health benefits alone, this cleanse is really teaching me about discipline and controlling my urges.
Thanks to all that have helped & advised thus far - really, your insights have been very helpful to a newbie cleanser!
