Re: Professional Athlete
Hallo, Grüß dich!
Being a big fan of Bill Walton(Walnuts!) and having played sports on a vegetarian diet I identify with what you are trying to do and learn. So sorry about the knee.
The main thing is balance and getting enough protein. If you are still eating dairy it is even easier to get the protein. Walnuts had challenges with his protein and downed so much ice cream!!ha Yes even on a vegetarian diet you can get sluggish...hell I wish my outside shots were as 'sluggish' as Walnut's!
If you are not planning on the dairy , or limiting yourself in that respect, then learning the main sources of vegetable protein is very important. That is entirely a book in itself not a mear post. Beans, tofu, tempeh, nuts,seaweed,etc...
Another good site(thanks saigon for that cool one):

google ;'complementary protein' read up on that. It describes how to eat foods in
conjuction with each other to get actually more protein than if eaten
separately. (i.e. beans and rice)
I found that I ate so much on a vegan diet and really had to be aware of the protein intake...I did not eat dairy, sugar, eggs. If you are , the transition will be smoother and you will not be prone to shortages of protein. If you are 'vegan' ,then research and be aware of your nutrition intake.
There are 1000s of recipes for the taking on line :

I could go on and on , Ask me after my cleanse and I'll tell you anything you want to know about food!!!! right now I'm concentrating on how many ways to juice a lemon!hah
As far as the
Master-Cleanse as a rebuilder, I like it. I suggest heavy stretch for your body other than your knee- Light stretching for that. I think that the
Master-Cleanse cleans out calcium and toxins from injuries better than
juicing fasts, especially the calcium. Juice for me is slimey in the colon and my opionion, for me personally , is that you may as well just eat the whole veg raw and get the benifit of all the fiber (you're throwing away) to clean your colon at the same time. Strictly personal pref.
take it easy on the knee , now is a great chance to give it a chance to rebuild and rest.
aloha...d
