Re: Day 3 and 6.4 Pounds Down

Congrats on your weight loss!

I am now officially enjoying the detoxing and reducing effects of this cleanse! I lost another pound so that makes 6.4 in just 3 days--it would be 12.1 in 3 days if I counted what I weighed after dinner the night before I started!

I am following the cleanse to the letter and also exercising moderately. The first 2 days were not that easy but not that hard either and I cooked a ton of good food yesterday for my non-cooking husband, with no problem.

I have needed naps the last few days too--for about an hour in the afternoon. Now that it's Monday and I'm at work I guess I could crawl under my desk but at 6'1" that is not going to be comfortable! LOL --So I'll skip the nap today.

I feel really good today--my lemonade is in the fridge and I plan to take a walk at lunch. I worked out with my trainer this morning and had a lot of energy too. I am going to follow my 21 days on this with a good 2 weeks on juice fasting I think--we'll see. I am not a junk food person nor do I have soda more than about once a month but I still needed the cleanse and have struggled with my weight issues.

My stats are: Female, 42, 6'1", 239.8/233.4/185-195

I weighed 185 when I was married 7.5 years ago, but I was not in good shape and didn't excercise regularly. Then 18 months ago I started working out with a trainer 2 x per week. Then a year ago I started running 2-3 times a week, in addition to the strength and endurance training with the trainer, increasing the running to 3-5 times per week and running a number of 5k and 10k races working up to a half marathon in September '05 and a marathon a few weeks ago on 1/15/06. I am in great shape--the best of my life in so many ways but I am carrying around a lot of extra weight that makes my extra slow running pace even slower than perhaps it should be. I am also taking thyroid medication and it is helping a lot as my TSH and free T-3 levels were way off.

So my theory is that the muscle I put on in the last year or so weighs about 10 pounds so I should weigh around 195 ideally. I'm not a small woman, even when I don't weigh much--for example, when I weighed 175 once my family confronted me thinking perhaps I had an eating disorder--I was so thin! So we are all built differently. Happy cleansing everyone.
