Iodine......vs......Potassium Iodide......What If I Can Only Order One ??

hi

i used to be able to buy Iodine and potassium Iodide crystals on Ebay but now USA sellers don't send to where i stay (Singapore)............also, many Ebay sellers are now from China and i doubt the safety of their Iodine + potassium iodide...........

so can i get by with just iodine.....OR.....potassium Iodide by itself ?.........or it's not effective by itself and i need to combine the 2 items ?
