Question about iodine in extreme thyroid situation

Hi, I am new here. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s 15 years ago. My TSH was 187 and I had over 3000 antibodies. Since then, I have taken levothyroxine, then in 2014 switched to Armour, and recently to Erfa. I take 3 grains a day. One of my doctors said that after TSH goes over 100, the thyroid is shot, and after taking hormones for so many years, the thyroid atrophies. So, my question is, is there any way Iodine can help in such a situation? I was deficient a few years ago, and take 75mcg a day. Thanks for reading so far! Mich
