Lenalidomide: An Immunomodulating Agent

Lenalidomide, a prescribed agent used to treat multiple myeloma (MM) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). To treat MM it is used after at least one other treatment and along with dexamethasone. The lenalidomide cost is quite reasonable as well as pocket-friendly.

Lenalidomide is administered orally, usually for 21 days followed by a seven-day rest. The pills should be swallowed whole through water and can be taken either with or without food. The dose of lenalidomide may vary from patient to patient and depends on the nature and stage of your myeloma, any adverse reactions you have, and how your myeloma is responding to treatment.
