From a divergent psychological perspective, humanistic psychology rose to prominence in the mid-20th century. It openly challenged the limitations of B. F. Skinner's Behaviorism and Sigmund Freud's Psychoanalytical Theory.
Many have debated over the fact that it has deep roots originating from Socrates and a brainchild of the cognitive prowess erupting during the Renaissance period.
