why cant i take probiotics anymore?

anyone know why i used to be able to tolerate probiotics but after taking a megadose last year i developed reflux that has not gone away ever since . and by cutting out all probiotics my lower gut which was dependent on them has destabilized and i have had loose stools for 8 months now . whenever i try to introduce even tiny amounts of probiotics i get a similar reaction. my microbiome is a total mess now cause it desperately needs probiotics but i cant take them. anyone have any theories as to what may have happened ?
