Applied 4 Thieves Oil directly to sensitive skin

Hi all - embarassing problem here, but here goes. I put Uncle Harry's Four Bandits Antigerm oil directly onto some very sensitive skin without a carrier oil. Anyone who knows about essential oils will know this is a no-no. It was in a moment of desperation and not one of my finer decisions. It started to produce a burning sensation and I quickly applied a bunch of coconut oil to dilute it. The skin got red and irritated, but didn't seem particularly affected other than that. Within a day or two the skin looked back to normal, but the burning sensation remained. It's kind of an icy-hot sensation. It's now been three weeks and the sensation, though somewhat reduced, has remained. Is this something I need to be concerned about? Did I do some kind of nerve damage? Thanks for any feedback.
