Thanks Sharkman!
WHOA! Thank you Sharkman! With the info you provided, I now feel confident enough to aggressively treat myself for strongyloides. I believe that I may have contracted this from working in a greenhouse that does not practice any sterilization. The soil is recycled and never pasteurized (even from diseased plants)! I've expressed my concern multiple times but I just get brushed off and it honestly just makes me want to deck the guy in the throat! I am still working at this greenhouse and wonder if I am reinfecting myself over and over again. I have really no other choice at the moment as I am in school and like you, I still have to pay the bills and don't ever even feel well enough to pull it together to find another job. If I could prove this injury occurred at work, I might be able to get some sort of compensation for while I recover. Though, I dont see how this is possible, as like everyone else here, I've been to numerous doctors, specialists, and am brushed off! They even brush me off after knowing I've been exposed to this biohazardous waste soil! I forgot to mention, I heard the owner discussing about a few years ago getting some type of manure for free because it wasn't "fully cured" and ALL of his plants died that year! I'm willi g to bet he never sterilized anything or even provided any type of remediation after this occurance.
Ugh! IDK what to do anymore. Your info gives me hope but I'm exhausted and I know I have a long road ahead! My dogs are infected too. The vets gave me the usual "it's just allergies" multiple times too!
I know I can do this. I just hope I don't keep reinfecting myself at work. I don't know how much antiparasitic my kidneys can take!!!!
Anyway, thanks again for the info.
