In reply to Rosie - no I don't think that what is in and on my scalp is morgellons. In the beginning when I had no idea, I went to ER because when I would shake my hair it rained down these white fibers. The ER doctors (3 of them) had no idea what it was, but sent me home with permethrin, thinking it was mites. That is why in the beginning I thought I had mites. I had a serious scattered or disseminated strongyloid infection. The white fibers or "feathers", as people on the forum refer to them, were the strongyloid when they molted. I also had flukes - some scattered larvae in my skin. I don't believe the worms feed on the cotton. Some of them eat blood, some tissue all depending on the type of worm and where they are on the body.
