Re: Are teeth whitening bad for my enamel?

If it were me I wouldn't do it, no one is gonna take any notice of your teeth, it's you that have issues with them.

As far as I'm aware teeth whitening lasts for a few months only, if you have underlying problems like any tiny holes in your teeth, missing fillings or problems with crowns etc you shouldn't have it done as it could effect the nerves in your teeth. You should never have the procedure done if you suffer from neuralgia as it can produce severe toothache in all your teeth.

Teeth whitening can make your teeth become more sensitive.

I know there is some sort of coating you can have applied over your teeth instead of having veneers to whiten them but I can't remember what it is called. I may be able to find out about it, I will look but I'm not promising.

Also, I know from experience that mixing small amounts of digestive enzymes into blended food whitens teeth naturally over time until teeth become very white. Enzymedica digest basic is good, you only need a little. It takes a long time though but it takes a good amount of time to stain teeth so it will take a good while to whiten them.
