Re: water fasting, urine colours and, hypothyroidism meds.
Thanks for this reply Archus.
I feel vindicated for believing I should have carried on fasting, after the urine turned brown on the 7th days. You mentioned that this happens to most people after 3 days. Does that then mean a) I didn't have as many toxins? b) or that there were plenty of toxins it was just much harder for my body bring it to a Ketogenic stage?
My intention for undertaking a 10 day
Water Fast is to cleanse my body not necessarily to lose weight, although that perhaps would be a nice side effect. I realise I must change my dietary habits as I have only 4 copies of the AMY1 gene responsible for weight (according to Qiyas.me). I have been told you need 8 copies of AMY1 for optimal weight control. The reason I mentioned the weight is that I am convinced that larger fat stores must carry more contaminants.
Additionally, I am a little scared to come off my NDH-(for hypothyroidism) not concerned about the fish oils so much. Is there any adverse reaction during the fasting or after it, if you were to withdraw medication for an under-active thyroid (thing I should watch out for)?
Ideally, I'd like to get to a stage where I can
Water Fast for longer and longer, have the hypothyroidism disappear, control the weight and become vegetarian. So I have a long way to go.
Thanks. U.K.
