Re: water fasting, urine colours and, hypothyroidism meds.
1. Firstly should I have carried on fasting regardless of the urine colour changing to brown as I felt okay.
Yes, Brown urine was a sign of toxins coming out through urine. I would look at past as an experience and not mull over too much.
2. Secondly, colour change of urine was measured on a Keto stick, and it demonstrated that my body had gone into Ketosis. Is it good to be in Ketosis?
Yes, Ketosis is good. This is one of the benefits of fasting. Your body runs on Ketones and not glucose. Body uses fat, scar tissue and other junk to manufacture what it needs, while affording it to cleanse it self. Most people when fasting will go in Ketosis in first two or three days.
3. Thirdly, I carried on taking my fish oil and NDH during the original 7 day fast, should one carry on taking medication/oils
No, this is called partial eating. You want to leave your body alone and let it heal itself. Nothing but water should go in your mouth.
4. Fourthly, my intention is to undertake a 10 day water fast, is there any advice or signs I should look out for?
A good goal. Simple rules should be followed. Drink filtered water as per thirst, preferably warm, not cold from the refrigerator. Rest plenty, no exercise or strenuous work. Stay warm. Break your fast with small amount of freshly squeezed organic orange, grapefruit or tomato juice. Build your appetite slowly, eat only when hungry.
5. Fifthly, how do I access the diaries of previous water fasters? is there a link? Thanks, U.K.
There are no diaries, but you can access previous posts. I suggest you read posts by Chrisb1, Fonty, Mouseclick, dessert lily and myself. You Can search the names in this forum, at the top search box and you will see all their messages.
You said you are overweight, fasting is no means of losing weight and keeping it off. You need to change how you eat. After you finish your fast and 10 days of eating raw fruits and vegetables only, you should do a liver flush. Also start taking Lugol’s solution everyday. You can find more on Iodine forums here at Curezone.
Good wishes.
