I have been making Colloidal Silver with my Sota SP for decades. Recently I noticed batches I am making are beginning to taste funny and accumulate bacteria looking particulate matter after a month. I make the CS with fresh pure distilled water (>1ppm tds) and pure 99.999 silver rods. I let it get to 10ppm on my tds meter which is a very faint light yellow solution. I thoroughly clean and rinse the glass bottles before storing the filtered CS (paper coffee filter).
What could this be? I thought CS should be sterile basically indefinitely.
