Agave Nectar vs. Maple Syrup
Hopefully, nobody has posted about this subject in this thread yet. If so, sorry to repeat the information:
I was at a conference with Dr. Gary Young (www.youngliving.us). He's a naturopath and essential oil expert. He spoke about how people's bodies appear to be changing (most likely due to all the garbage we're putting into it), and how many people can no longer tolerate maple syrup as they have in the past. It now seems to mess with the blood sugar. He recommends using agave (cactus) nectar instead, which is better for the blood
Sugar (low glycemic index) and still good for the
Lemonade Diet . That's what he was recommending to his patients.
I use it and it appears to work great. It also tastes better than maple syrup. I got to the point where maple syrup was nauseating me during previous cleanses. Maybe I was using too much.
So, if you find your blood
Sugar going bonkers, consider trying agave nectar instead of maple syrup and see how that works for you. Whole Foods has it.
