Attending a church building is not a salvational issue. Assembling ourselves with other believers sure doesn't have to be in a church building, and even that warning about not neglecting to assemble ourselves with other believers, doesn't mean you aren't saved if you don't. We just need to be with other believers for encouragement, edification, helping with each other's needs physically as well as spiritually, etc. We weren't meant to be isolated. That's not good for us. But even the isolated ones, if that's the state they are in and for whatever reason can't get out of, Jesus is enough, along with the scriptures and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. "The church" is not a building. It's all believers in Christ, wherever they are all over the world, in a church building, or in their homes, or a jail cell somewhere, confined to a nursing home, or wherever else.
And yes I agree with you Rainy that's it's a terrible thing how many churches are just businesses, very wicked businesses. It is truly hard at times to find one that isn't.
